Indigo Lily Crown or Neckpiece
Handmade brass and abaca paper flowers, dyed with indigo dye, with freshwater pearls. This piece can either be worn as a crown or a dramatic neckpiece.
The flowers are made by dipping brass forms into abaca paper pulp repeatedly and allowing it to dry so each flower develops a translucent paper skin. They are then sealed to make them waterproof and durable, so your flower crown can be passed down as a family heirloom piece.
The flowers and circlet of the crown and made from brass, and each flower contains a freshwater pearl and brass pistil.
Each end terminates in several loops, so you can secure it to your hair with bobby pins, tie it on with a piece of ribbon, or just tuck it into your hair.
You can request a custom flower crown. I can dye the paper a custom color, make a custom size, change out the pearls for crystals or colored beads or stones, or use a different metal. Sterling silver and 14K gold are also available. Send me a message for a quote.
